I was looking for a cat like this when I found Godiva. On the PetFinders website she looked black and I was looking for a black cat to go along with Tux's black and white markings.
This cat is cool; it's looks like a black sphinx cat but with fur. It has the ears and eyes of a sphinx.
Shredder, if you ever see a mostly brown (or even more rare, an all brown cat like Godiva) I hope you can get a picture of it.Â
Godiva once again "wowed" a new vet tech today when she pulled her out of the cage and said "Oh wow, this cat is brown!". Godiva is remembered everywhere she goes. I'd never seen a brown cat before either but I hadn't really thought about it. Now that I'd have one, I realize how rare they are.  Even "tuxedo" brown cats are pretty rare; that's what I'm looking for next. I want a cat that looks like Tux but is brown where Tux is black.

Although still quite rare and for years one of the cat fancy¿s best kept secrets, Havanas have built a solid following of enthusiastic fanciers. Havana Browns are affectionate, gentle, highly intelligent, and, unlike their Siamese compatriots, quiet. They are remarkably adaptable and agreeable cats, and adjust to any situation with poise and confidence. Havanas must have human interaction if they are to live happy, healthy lives. They crave attention from their human companions and are not content unless they can be by your side, helping you with your household tasks. Havanas love to reach out and touch their favorite humans; they often nudge their human friends with an outstretched paw as if asking for attention.
That's Godiva almost to a T. The one part that's different about her is that she "talks" but usually only if I start it. She doesn't generally go around meowing like a Siamese does. But if I talk to her she usually talks back.

Yes, after 10+ years, I have got a kitteh for myself. Just brought him home.
He is still "smelling" around to make my house his palace.
Yay!

Not a collar, I brought him from my friends house. My friend's kid daughter put that playful necklace.
Sleeping in the box now, still might take a day or two before he is accustomed to the mew home. But a very friendly kitteh!
