Well, Jacque is out as a housemate for Tux; she doesn't like other cats. So now I'm going to check out the ones at the vet.

You'll find one.

I'm off today and as usual I'm going to Sam's Club back in my old town of Chesterfield. While I'm over there I'm going to check out the Humane Society of Missouri branch in the same shopping plaza to scope out what kinds of cats they've got available.

So sad going into those places..I always want all of them free. the way they look at you...Breaks my heart

This place was actually pretty nice. The cats are in "enclosures" as opposed to cages. They have toys and cat condos and beds in there with them and they're behind glass not bars. But the only older cats they had didn't get along well with other cats.

So I went to see the 2 at the vet. The female is the one in the upper part of that pic on the other page. She's actually quite pretty, a dilute calico/main coon mix. She's 3 years old an huge, especially for a female. She's as big as tux but probably weighs a few pounds less. She's said to be very friendly and affectionate. She sort of growled at me when I picked her up but she didn't run away. I have to think about it. I also have to get Tux's digestive issues squared away first.

Let us know. I know my friends got a new cat and her other cat is still mad at her..She said they are making progress..THey slept on the same bed.

She actually is sorta "straight edge" in her own feline way.  She absolutely wants nothing to do with canned cat food; doesn't matter what flavor it is.  The only thing she'll eat from a can is tuna fish; tuna cat food doesn't fly.  So it's dry food and canned tuna fish; that's it.  I've never had a cat that turned its nose up at EVERY flavor of canned cat food. She's a can vegan.

As of today the two cats that are mine Freya , and Maggie are both fixed . I never had a fixed animal before . I feel bad for her ,.

I have an outside Cat with kitties able to be weened but the mother Spritzy has a broken leg and food . I fear it will be amputated . Before I see that I would have to have her put down. By the vet of course no bullet to the head here\

Thats too bad..Maybe they can fix her foot and not be put down..

Seven cats inside the house and seven outside feral cats.

Took this pic today of my two enjoying the sun in one of the guest bedrooms.  It's been in the 20s all day so they were seeking out additional warmth.
