I totally understand the first one.  Did you see the thing?  Bunch of wires and chips and stuff strung together with a clock dial?  Sure looked like a potential bomb to me.  Admittedly, the kid's name didn't help things but I'm sorry, I'm sick and tired of this politically correct crap when it comes to potential Muslim terrorists.  Profile away.  You don't see 80-year old grandmothers named Mildred trying to sneak stuff on planes, into buildings, etc.  What you see are young (and increasingly younger) Muslim/Arab males.  

Now I'll admit that once it was discovered what this kid was really doing, then the suspension should have been dropped.  But I don't have a problem at all with the kid being questioned and detained about it.

I thought it wasn't really smart on the kid's part to bring in something that looked like that. I also thought the school and authorities could of diffuse the situation much easier by looking into it more properly.

As for some of the other reasons, they were completely ridiculous.
