I love the vocals of this band.

I couldn't remember what this band was like, but I remembered you posting them before. As soon as the song started playing I recognize that instantly.

Exact posted that he'd purchased this album over at HoM.  I gave it a listen on YouTube and was hooked.

One of the reviews I read described the sound as Jethro Tull mixed with the lush vocals of Jim Steinman-era Meatloaf and I think that works.  It's definitely different; sort of retro but also proggy.   It's just plain weird which is I guess why I like it.

I just can't get into this at all. I listened to three or four songs from it, but it just doesn't do it for me. It just makes me want to listen to something different.

it actually sort of reminds me of The Pursuit Of Happiness, probably because of the female vocals.

That's not bad in a cheesy Freedom Call kind of way.

Cheesy indeed. And very Freedom Call-ish.

I have to give Freedom Call that much - they sure have a knack for writing shiny, happy, memorably hooky songs.

I was in an industrial mood today so I broke out some KMFDM. Mainly Juke Joint Jezebel and this one:

I've heard that referred to as "flower metal".

Been cranking Dragonforce lately. Just great, fast, melodic stuff, that is easy to listen while driving a car.

I didn't notice the resemblance.

That has never been one of my favorite The Pursuit of Happiness songs. My favorite is I'm an Adult Now.

I guess. This came up by accident on a flash drive I found in a drawer.

More from that flash drive I found.  This time Warrior Soul's "Salutations From the Ghetto Nation":

More "flower metal" but that's not nearly as catchy as the Freedom Call wannabe band you posted before.   This is just boring.

Babylon Bombs - Babylon's Burning

Sadly I'm pretty sure this is the last album we'll ever get from this band.  It's around 10 years old and I haven't heard or seen anything about them since.

I had my SanDisk player on shuffle today while I washed my car and this Ginger Wildheart track came up.  I don't remember if I ever posted this or not.  It's a mashup of the themes from the TV shows Taxi and Cheers.

I like the music but that woman's voice is terrible. When she's not shrieking she's off key.

Not bad. I think I've heard of the band before, just don't remember anything by them.

I like her voice more than you do, but I do agree.

I had to run to Sam's Club pharmacy to pick up several prescriptions and I decided to spin Kix "Rock Your Face Off".  I'm still surprised at how good this 2014 album is.  It sounds like classic Kix to me.  Like this track (which is #10 in the track list - that's how good this album is):
